Salvation

Power of Psalms 23Speak this salvation prayer out loud.

“Father, thank you for forgiving me of my sins. Jesus, come into my heart and make me the kind of person you want me to be.

I receive you as my Savior and Lord.

Thank you for saving me today.”

One of the greatest miracles anyone could ever experience is salvation through faith in Christ. Salvation involves total newness of life. Paul wrote, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17, NKJV). What a wonderful promise this is!

How does one obtain this very great salvation from sin, Satan, and the flesh? In the Book of Ephesians we read, “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9, NKJV). This is very good news indeed. Salvation is a gift of God that comes to you by grace as you express faith in the finished work of Jesus.

What is His finished work? John wrote, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16, NKJV). Because Jesus took away your sins and your sicknesses when He died on the cross, you are able to receive salvation which opens the doors of Heaven for you, and it lasts forever!

The Bible defines faith as, “. . .the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” (Hebrews 11:1, NKJV). Faith opens your eyes to the unseen realm, which is more real than the seen realm. It brings Heaven down to Earth, and remember, in Heaven there is no sickness, sin, or hate.

How do you get and keep such faith that leads to salvation? The Bible says, “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Romans 10:17, NKJV). Please begin reading the Bible, which is the Word of God, on a regular basis. In this way your faith will grow.

I pray that you will reach out through prayer for this greatest of blessings–salvation. When you do so, your whole life, perspective, and purpose for living will change. My friend, receive this good news by dedicating your life to the Lord Jesus Christ, and you shall be saved! Ask Jesus to come into your heart and to forgive you of your sins, and He will surely do so.

The reason why you were created was to know God and to enjoy Him forever. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” (John 14:6, NKJV).
